This thirties bias cut silk crepe gown is beautiful. It is completely cut on the bias so drapes and moves to fit you perfectly from the second you slip it over your head. The front has a soft and romantic capelet feel to it with a notched neckline and soft draped fabric that comes out from the waist and drapes over the bust. The back is absolutely amazing! It has one tiny hook at the top that when closed leaves an open slit to he waist. However the cut is so well done that you can actually leave it unhooked if you wish and create a a full open V that plunges right to the waist and leaves your back bare. The skirt then sweeps to the floor in a cascade of bias cut silk. The silk is feather light - it literally weighs ounces and feel like a wisp of air around you when on. The colors are pretty and feminine with soft, washed pastel floral design adorning the surface. If all of this was not enough, it has its original rhinestone encrusted belt that has a green rhinestone buckle that adds the perfect touch of glitz to the otherwise fairy tale worth dress Truly a beauty and one of the best of the period I have had in. Excellent condition!
The gown is unlined and slips over the head with a hook & eye at the back of the neck. The belt is attached and I see no missing stones on the buckle. Hand finishes. The bias cut will allow for some give to the listed measurements
